Woolwich Lions Club presented Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice with a cheque for £500 on July July 7 to mark the end of its 2013/14 charity fundraising for the Hospice that included bucket collections and curry nights.

The Albion Company are to take new play RED TAP/BLUE TIGER to the Edinburgh Fringe this summer in a co-production with Greenwich Theatre. The play is one of five shows being taken by Greenwich Theatre to the Edinburgh Fringe in August.

Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice is celebrating a successful Open Gardens weekend this summer (14-15 June), with £13,200 being raised for the charity, which provides free specialist end of life nursing, medical care and support for local people and their families.

Over 25 gardens across The Royal Borough of Greenwich will open their gates to the public over the weekend of 14-15 June for the first ever Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice Open Gardens Festival to raise much-needed funds.

This team of Hospice nurses from the inpatient unit at Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice along with housekeepers and kitchen staff rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in to sort all kinds of donated stock for the Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice shops recently.

On 26th April, the Mayoress of Bexley, cut the ribbon and opened the new cricket training facilty at Belvedere Cricket Club. The whole project was made possible by a £10,000 grant from the London Marathon Charitable Trust.

Falcon Spartak Gymnastics Club, based in Hurstmere School in Sidcup, was founded in 1973 and ever since has catered for Gymnasts of all standards and ages with particular success coming with those gymnasts with special needs.
