London Road, Stone, near the Welsh Tavern pub. Photo taken Saturday 27th June, 9pm. The entire road from footpath to footpath had completely disappeared beneath the result of the torrential downpour we had! Car drove through precariuosly not knowing if their engine would cut of whether they would hit the hidden kerb. A no-go area for pedestrians, unless they were wearing waders and a snorkel of course. Although there were road liable to flood signs, erected on lamposts some yards away, no extra warning was given to drivers warning them of the new A226 lake that had appeared in a matter of a couple of hours!
