AS the nation mourns the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, we look back to the time she visited Bexleyheath in 2005.

After coming to the throne in 1952, the Queen frequented our county and has always been met with a warm welcome.

The streets were flooded with crowds on July 26, 2005, who welcomed her as she walked through Bexleyheath.

The Queen arrived in Broadway, Bexleyheath, and walked through the Fair Trade Market, meeting market traders, staff from schools, and members of the public.

She then arrived at Crook Log Leisure Centre, and toured the building, viewing demonstrations of activities before opening the new centre.
