Tributes have been paid to a 16-year-old boy who was a victim of a fatal stabbing in Abbey Wood.  

Charlie Bartolo died after he was found with stab wounds in Sewell Road just after 5pm on November 26.   

Another 16-year-old, Kearne Solanke was also found stabbed in Titmuss Avenue in Thamesmead one mile away from Charlie.

Officers later confirmed that both of the incidents were linked.  

Despite the efforts of emergency services, both boys were pronounced dead at the scenes. 

Tributes have since been paid to the Abbey Wood victim following the incident.

Bouquets of flowers, handwritten notes, and lit candles were left for Charlie. 

A note which was left on a balloon at the scene read: “RIP Charlie, we will miss you."

GoFundMe pages have also been set up by friends and family for the boys following the incidents.  

Police have made four arrests since and have charged three people in relation to the incidents.

Hussain Bah, 18, of south-east London was arrested on December 2. 

He appeared in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on December 3 charged with the murders. 

A 16-year-old boy and 15-year-old boy were also arrested on November 29.  

They appeared at Bexley Magistrates' Court on December 2 charged with the murders.

The pair were remanded into youth custody and are due to appear at the Old Bailey on December 6. 

Another 16-year-old boy, who was arrested on November 27, has been released on bail. 

He is due back at the police station in February 2023.
