Day 23 of your Charlton Christmas Calendar sees us looking at Naby Sarr.

Sarr is establishing himself as one of Lee Bowyer’s key men in their promotion push.

He’s been used in a number of positions in the opening half of the campaign and has earned the trust of the manager.

The 25-year-old has played all across the back-line but looks most comfortable in the centre alongside captain Jason Pearce, which is a little off considering it was the injury to Pearce in the opening game of the season that Sarr got his opportunity.

He’s big, immensely strong, quick across the turf and has an all action style to his play. He plays like a young Sol Campbell meets calamity-Phil Jones. Capable of the extremes.

You don’t have to look far back to know what I’m talking about. Only last week against AFC Wimbledon he was given his marching order after just 40 seconds.

Some may say it was harsh, others say he just doesn't like playing over Christmas.

With just the one goal to his name in the league this season, it seems a short return for a player of such a size and ability in both boxes. He will be looking to add to that tally in 2019 surely.

With January around the corner and the transfer window opening, there may be a few clubs in the league above who may fancy taking a risk on one of Lee Bowyer’s go-to men this season.
