Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams is having a medical at Sunderland ahead of a loan move.
Williams, who has not played for the Eagles in nearly three years, has been plagued by injuries throughout his career.
He signed a new three-year deal with Palace in May, but is set to go out on loan for a seventh time.
Williams, 23, will join a Sunderland team looking for a return to the Premier League at the first attempt.
The Black Cats have had a tough start to the season, winning just once.
