Former Millwall manager Ian Holloway has praised the job current Lions’ boss Neil Harris is doing at the Den.

Holloway endured a turbulent period at the club, guiding the Lions to safety in the 2013-14 Championship season but suffering relegation the following year.

The Sky Sports pundit was sacked in March 2015, with ex-Millwall striker Harris taking over the reins following a brief spell as caretaker boss.

After an impressive start to the season, the Lions have lost four of their last five league games and have subsequently dropped away from a play-off spot.

But Holloway still believes Harris deserves credit for improving the ‘mentality’ around the club, and believes forward Steve Morison can inspire an away win when Millwall travel to Oldham on Saturday.

“Neil Harris has done really well at Millwall to turn the mentality from losing to winning,” 52-year-old said in his Sky Sports prediction column.

“Although they’re not in the best of form at the minute, it’s a great time to be going to Oldham, who are six games without a win.

“Steve Morison has got the club in his blood and veins.

“It’s fantastic that he went back there and he's playing a level below his true ability. He could be the difference in this game. Away win, 1-2.”
