A florist in Kent is in the running for two national awards.
The Gravesend Florist, an independent business, has been shortlisted for both Retail Florist of the Year in the British Florist Association Awards 2026 and Funeral Florist of the Year in the Good Florist Awards 2026.
Owner Lisa Knight said: "To be named as a finalist in one award would have been incredible, but to find out that we are finalists in two separate awards is something we are genuinely so proud of.

"The fact that one recognises us as a retail florist and the other specifically recognises our funeral work makes it feel even more special, because both are such important parts of what we do."
Known for its highly personalised funeral tributes, the florist creates everything from traditional arrangements to bespoke designs that reflect the personality and life of the person being remembered.
Lisa added: "Families trust us at an incredibly difficult time, and we always want the flowers to feel personal rather than simply choosing something from a catalogue.
"Every life has a story worth telling, and we feel privileged when families allow us to help tell part of that story through flowers."
In addition to its funeral work, The Gravesend Florist supplies flowers for daily occasions, celebrations, and events.
The team has built strong relationships with customers, businesses, and funeral directors across the community.
Ms Knight said the double nomination is already a major achievement and a reflection of the team's dedication.
She also praised the support from customers, especially as the British Florist Association award includes a public vote.
Lisa said: "We have been overwhelmed by the support we have already received from our customers and the local community.
"We genuinely wouldn’t be here without them, so to have people taking the time to vote for us means the world."
The business is encouraging supporters to cast their votes as the awards season approaches.
