It could see degrees drop to as low as -12C in part of the nation with some areas also expecting heavy snowfall.
London and much of the south have been able to avoid the snow and ice warnings but now weather forecasts expect the capital to be below -4C.
It comes as the Met Office shared that London will feel like 0C on Tuesday, March 14 but will be met with -1C on Wednesday, March 15.

London to freeze as temperatures to drop
As Met Office meteorologist Simon Partridge said: “Wednesday overnight will be very cold for pretty much the whole of the UK, so if you’ve got plants that have gone out early, get them in tomorrow because the frost is going to be widespread in the morning.”
Adding that it will see 'unsettled' weather from Thursday onwards: "There’s some cloud and rain on Wednesday onwards pushing back in from the west, so milder air comes in – there will be some snow on the front of that rain but it won’t last very long. Thursday’s main concern is how much rainfall there will be.”
Weather concerns could see some travel disruptions with delays on the road, rail and more public transport services.
