BORIS Johnson has urged Londoners to use their vote to stop the BNP winning next month's London Mayor elections.
The Tory candidate reacted with disgust after hearing the BNP is encouraging its supporters to put Mr Johnson as their second choice vote.
Voters get two votes for a first and second choice.
Mr Johnson said: "I utterly and unreservedly condemn the BNP and have no desire whatsoever to receive a single second preference vote from a BNP supporter.
"I hope as many Londoners as possible turn out on May 1 to prevent the election of a BNP candidate."
There are nine other candidates vying to be Mayor of London at the election on May 1. The candidates are (in alphabetical order):
- Richard Barnbrook - British National Party
- Gerard Batten - UK Independence Party
- Sian Berry - Green Party
- Alan Craig - Christian Peoples Alliance and Christian Party
- Lindsey German - Left List
- Ken Livingstone - Labour Party
- Winston McKenzie - Independent
- Matt O'Connor - English Democrats
- Brian Paddick - Liberal Democrats
