Millwall will warm up for their return to the First Division by pitting their wits against top European opposition
Lions manager Mark McGhee has arranged a pre-season tour to Germany for his Second Division champions, which will include two matches against Bundeslegia teams.
The first is against Eintracht Frankfurt on July 18 and the second is scheduled for July 22, with the likely opponents FSV Mainz.
Eintract are certain to give Millwall a tough work-out at their 60,000 capacity Waldstadion.
Although they were relegated from the German top-flight this season, they are former European Cup finalists and remain one of the country's biggest clubs.
McGhee said: "I wanted to make sure we have good quality opposition who will give us a real test and I think we've got that.
"We've had some difficulty arranging games with teams in England because a lot of people don't want Millwall in town."
Millwall's pre-season fixtures will also include a game with Tottenham in former manager Keith Stevens' testimonial match at The New Den on August 4 and a trip to Cambridge United on July 28.
