A moped rider was taken to hospital after a crash with a car on Saturday evening (January 22) in Eltham.

Police and ambulance crews attended the scene in Grove Place at around 7.30pm after reports of a crash involving a moped and a car.

The rider of the moped, who was a man, was treated at the scene before being taken to a major trauma centre.

Officers say his injuries are not life threatening.

No arrests have been made following the incident.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 7.38pm on 22 January to reports of a road traffic collision involving a moped and a car on Grove Place, SE9.

"We sent an ambulance crew, who treated a man at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”

A Met Police spokesperson added: “Police were called to Grove Place at 19:40hrs, car against moped.

“Moped rider was taken to hospital, injuries not life threatening.

“No arrests were made.”
