The Government’s figure for coronavirus deaths tragically passed 100,000 yesterday, prompting the Prime Minister to offer his “deepest condolences” to relatives.

Sadly, the pandemic, which has changed lives so drastically, is far from over, with chief medical officer Professor Chris Whitty bracing the country for “a lot more deaths over the next few weeks before the effects of the vaccines begin to be felt”.

London's own death toll surpassed 10,000 earlier this month, with many of those taking place in south east London.

We asked you, the readers, to share stories of loved ones lost.

Thank you for reaching out to us. We have published your tributes below.

My beloved husband passed on 10/23/2020.

Having 8 family members sick with COVID, Alan’s lungs were ravished by the deadly virus.

Alan was a man with strong conviction, full of love, joy and graciousness.

He gave all he had to everyone. He was my Prince Charming.

Not a day goes by that I am not consumed with his loss, the void and the reality that’s bestowed on me.

Never will I ever be so loved again by such a magnificent man. Sleep well my love...I miss you with every bit of my being. Always...your Shanna. 💔
