For those of you who have your head buried in the covers every Saturday morning, I urge you to get your trainers on! The run is a 5km run which is completely free at Avery Hill Park, an outstanding way to socialise and make new friends. The weekly event happens at 9:00am and everyone is incredibly friendly as you are welcome to grab a post park run coffee down at the Avery Hill Park Cafe.

“The Avery Hill park run is one of the things I can’t wait to do every Saturday, as it means i can enjoy physical activity while with my friends and the local community.”  Anouk Ardouin-Nesbit, one of the park runners also added “It’s a bit difficult to motivate yourself to do exercise alone, so having other people can motivate me to run as I consistently want to get better and outrun the people in front!”

Anouk is very enthusiastic, urging more people to “get involved as it’s a great way to stay healthy and have fun.” She states that “it doesn’t matter if you’re fast or slow because everyone around you is encouraging and supportive!”

So next time you have your head buried in your covers, wake up and get your trainers on to participate in the  Avery Hill Park run!
