All across England, Police have been called to a couple dozens of incidents of which 'pranksters' dressed up in clown costumes to purposely scare citizens.

This 'creepy clown' trend begun in the US where the first 'clown' was spotted in South Carolina. In the second and third weeks of September, nine people were arrested across Alabama for clown threats; seven of them face felony charges. This was only the beginning of the clown phase.

A 30 year old man was arrested in Norwich after he dressed as a clown and jumped out from behind a tree and 'petrified' a woman in a public park. She was said to be walking alone in Eaton Pak at around 20:30 BST on a Sunday when a man leapt out, screamed at her and then proceeded to chase her. On Sunday the 9th on October, the Thames Valley Police said they were called to 14 incidents in 24 hours.

It is said that at some local schools, clown costumes have been banned for the annual Halloween parties due to this increase in clown incidents. Adam Murray, a young man aged 16 from Hayes, said "This whole clown situation is getting out of hand! I have younger sisters who I wouldn’t want to be scared to go out this Halloween just because of some 'pranksters'."

Over the past few weeks, this clown trend has settled down a bit. However, the fear that many people still have all across the world- not only England- for this up coming Halloween has a many of people still worried for there children to go out and trick or treat.
