Crystal Palace’s revival under Alan Pardew has been well documented, and this stat epitomises the fine job the English manager has done since returning to Selhurst Park in January.

The 54-year-old, who enjoyed a four-year spell at the club as a player between 1987 and 1991, made an instant impact after replacing Neil Warnock, winning five of his first six games in charge.

Pardew took the Eagles from the relegation zone to a top-half finish and has made an equally impressive start to this campaign.

After nine games the south London club sit sixth in the league – two points off a Champions League position – with a fine victory over reigning champions Chelsea and narrow defeats to Manchester City and Arsenal.

Palace’s transformation under Pardew has been so drastic that the club have recorded the same amount of victories in 2015 than Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea.

The Eagles are in fact joint-fourth in the list of clubs to have won the most Premier League matches this year.

Arsenal lead the way with 19 victories, while Manuel Pellegrini’s City have 18 and Manchester United have won 16.
