Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann has admitted that Glenn Murray’s transfer move to Bournemouth left the Selhurst camp disappointed.

The 32-year-old forward was an instrumental figure in Palace’s dressing room between 2011 and 2014, scoring 44 goals in 112 league games.

Last season, however, Murray was sent out on loan to Reading after a gradual decline in regular first-team action.

With the former Brighton star seemingly no longer part of Alan Pardew’s immediate plans, Murray was sold to Premier League new-boys Bournemouth on deadline day for £4m.

Murray has already scored two goals for his new club and former team-mate, Scott Dann, has revealed that the Palace camp was disappointed by his exit.

"The lads were disappointed that he had left, because we know what he offers the team," Dann, 28, told Goals on Sunday.
