Karl Robinson has revealed his dressing room message after Charlton’s 2-2 draw at Walsall.

Tariqe Fosu and Ricky Holmes struck in-between Tyler Roberts’ equaliser to give the Addicks a 2-1 lead with one minute remaining.

But Daniel Agyei’s 89th-minute wonder goal stretched Charlton’s winless run to four games.

When asked what he said to his players at full-time, Robinson said: “I told them how much I believe in them and how much me having a go at them is because I care.

“I see people who want to be here. I’m a passionate person, they’re passionate people. It doesn't matter who you are in or out of football, time never goes backwards.

“So, you can’t sit there and say ‘I wish I did this’, no. It’s ‘I will learn from that mistake and it won’t happen again’.

“You can’t affect anything that’s been before. We have to use these results to make us stronger as a unit and collective as a group.”

It is the second successive draw where Charlton have wasted opportunities to kill off the opposition.

Josh Magennis and Billy Clarke were denied by in-form Walsall goalkeeper Mark Gillespie with the Addicks in front.

Despite the winless run continuing, Robinson hailed the morale in the Charlton dressing room.

He added: “This point might be a big point. I remember Will Grigg came here and scored [for MK Dons] and we took a draw and took great strength from that.

“Now, we've got to because there are no other options than to be successful. That’s our objective.

“We care that much that it hurts us. At no stage do we find it funny, at no stage do we find it acceptable. It’s frustrating.

“I’d rather have players who want to put it right than players, who I've had before in the dressing not caring.

“I’m now seeing a different dressing room after a negative result. And that to me is important.”
