It was the same old story of late for Charlton who drew 2-2 with Walsall.

Ricky Holmes thought he had given the Addicks a first win in four games when his volley sailed past Mark Gillespie in the 88th minute.

However, Daniel Agyei went up the other end to curl home an equaliser seconds after the restart.

Tariqe Fosu gave the Addicks an early lead before Tyler Roberts drew the Saddlers level.

The Addicks had plenty of openings to extend their lead in the first-half but were denied by another in-form goalkeeper coming in the form of Gillespie.

Here is how News Shopper rated Charlton’s players…

Ben Amos - 7 - Made two good saves in both halves to keep the Addicks in the game. Claimed every cross he came for.

Chris Solly - 6 - Didn't have a lot to do. Defended well enough, but never really got forward.

Ezri Konsa - 8 - A very solid display from the youngster in his first league start of the season. He reads the game so well, and his distribution is brilliant.

Patrick Bauer - 5 - At fault for Walsall’s equaliser - the big German left Roberts unmarked in the box. Was bailed out by his defensive partner Konsa a couple of times in the second-half.

Jay Dasilva - 7 - For a small guy, he tackles like a 6ft 6ins midfield enforcer. Gave Charlton another attacking option down the left.

Ahmed Kashi - 6 - Won his tackles, but lost the ball a few times. He’ll have better games.

Jake Forster-Caskey - 9 - Another very strong performance from Charlton’s number 19. He controlled the game from start to finish.

Billy Clarke - 5 - Playing out of position on the wing, it just didn't work for him. Worked very hard but was alienated at times.

Ricky Holmes - 6 - Operating in Clarke’s number 10 role, the returning winger had a quiet evening by his high standards until his stunning goal two minutes from time.

Tariqe Fosu - 7 - Back to his usual self after a below-par showing against Bury. Took his chance cooly to score his second Addicks goal. The former Reading man’s dribbling was terrific.

Josh Magennis - 6 - He just had to score in the first-half when unmarked in the box, but the goalkeeper pulled off an outstanding save to tip the header on to the post.
