THE mother of a girl sexually assaulted and robbed as she walked home after a party wants the attacker caught before he strikes again.

The 16-year-old was dragged down an alleyway and molested in the early hours of May 30.

She had been to a half-term party with friends in Bromley and was returning home by bus at around 3am.

As she walked up Knoll Rise, in Orpington, she was approached by a black man, aged about 20, who began talking to her before dragging her down a footpath towards Orpington station.

"He said he wasn't going to rape her, he just wanted to feel her which is what he started doing," said the girl's mother.

"There was a struggle and my daughter screamed, so he shoved his fingers in her mouth, and she bit them. Then she pulled out her phone to call me and he snatched it and ran off towards the high street. She is only just 16 and was absolutely hysterical when she got home.

"I went out to look for him but couldn't find him."

The culprit, wearing a dark woolly hat, blue jeans, white T-shirt and trainers, appeared from nowhere and was not on the same bus, so he probably lives locally she said.

"Why does a 20-year-old need to molest a girl who doesn't want it? If anyone knows who he is, they should tell the police, for his sake and everyone else's, before he does something even more serious. It could be your sister or daughter next time."

The stolen phone was a Samsung E700 with pictures of horses stuck on it.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information should call Detective Constable Lee Baron on 020 8284 8869.

Detectives are investigating the possibility this attack is linked with two others at the weekend. Click here for the full story.
