Mock the Week stars Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis will be coming to a popular Dartford theatre next month.

The comedic duo are set to take audiences on a journey with their latest show, titled We Are Not A Robot, after a decade-long break.

The tour kicks off on Monday, April 29 in Milton Keynes and will be coming to The Orchard West Theatre on Wednesday, May 22.

The Orchard Theatre in Dartford was forced to close after a survey found concerns with the theatre’s RAAC panels.

Since then, the council has “gone into overdrive” to find a “creative way of keeping the show going here in Dartford”.

The Orchard Theatre has since been replaced with the temporary theatre, Orchard West, which has hosted a popular array of musicals, drama, comedy, dance, family shows and more.

Having spent the past ten years talking about the absurdities of the world through their sharp wit on programs like Mock The Week and The Now Show, Punt and Dennis will focus on the modern-day version of comedy.

Transitioning seamlessly between television, radio and the live comedy circuit, Punt and Dennis have solidified their status as household names with experimental humour, quick banter and funny sketches.

Hugh Dennis is probably best known for the popular sitcom Outnumbered and recently appeared in Channel 4’s psychological thriller The Couple Next Door.

Other parts include the bank manager in Fleabag, Toby in Not Going Out, and he cameoed as a scientist in an M16 laboratory in the Bond film No Time to Die.

Steve Punt is a writer, presenter, script editor and voice over artist.

He presents the quiz show 3rd Degree on BBC Radio 4 as well as Punt PI using his sleuthing skills to explore unsolved cases across the UK.

As they come to the Orchard West Theatre, the duo plan to showcase a medley of classic sketches, improvisation and new material.
