People in south east London and Kent have been busy decorating their homes to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

The boroughs have spared no amount of effort and social media is full of fantastic images of people celebrating.

There is everything from buntings, window displays, full-fledged balloon arches, to tiny hand crafted gnomes.

We gathered together some of the best-decorated homes in the area who should be proud that their efforts have brought us some Jubilee cheer.

  • Brentlands Drive – Dartford

Angela Kessel’s garden comes complete with little gnome-like people celebrating the jubilee at their own street party.

The tiny creations are made out of jam jars and covered in felt, including one of Her Majesty the Queen and her guards.

She also has put plenty of union flag bunting across her garden.

Angela regularly decorates the front of her home during special events and collects money for the Ronald McDonald House Charity.

Vicki Wilkinson’s doorway is now a giant balloon arch complete with Corgi and Her Majesty waving down at you.

The Balloon Arch was made by a friend of hers, Stacey Adams, who owns the company Skys The Limit Balloons.

Vicki said that Stacey “really enjoys creating and being part of people's happiness”.

Sarah Surry has the Queen on her door and colourful vintage bunting across the garden.

If you look carefully, you can spot a gnome version of the Queen next to the porch and another peeping out of the window.
