This month has been crazy. So to fit in with the craziness, there are 5 reviews on the craziest books, games, shows, films I could find in my house.

4. The Bible: The old testament according to Spike Milligan-5/5

This book is practically just the bible. Everything is the same in principle, except Milligan has re-worked everything. Making it a comedic masterpiece. Witty lines such as  "In the beginning, God created the Heaven and Earth and darkness was upon the face of the deep; this was due to a malfunction at Lots Road Power Station” create a funny and slightly silly version of the bible. This book had me in tears by the time I had finished it. The book itself is quite short and is a nice easy read for anyone who wants an easy read and wants to be in hysterics too.

3. The Truman Show- 4/5

Just so you know, this film is not about US President Truman, but instead of just a simple man living a simple life. In the opening of the film, we believe that the film could just be as simple as a man living his life. Eating, going to work, being social. But as we dive further into the film we see how the plot so greatly thickens. Our protagonist starts to see how he is not living his life, but being controlled, manipulated by higher power…

This film is a great mix of comedy and tragedy as we follow the story of Truman Burbank (Jim Carrey) through the life that isn’t truly his.

2. Goat Simulator (PS4 Edition) - 4/5

If there was a true meaning of wacky, this game would be it. The game is as simple as it sounds, you play as a goat. But as you play you start to realise how wacky this game really is. You might think you would just walk around a field all day eating grass. No. In this game, you are set with the task of causing destruction and mayhem. Want to head butt people, no problem, want to fly a hang glider, that too is possible. Even the games many bugs and glitches make this game feel even more fun to play. They add to the game in a way nothing else possibly could.

This game is a must-play for anyone who likes silly games, and even if you don’t, still play it. You might regret it, but it is worth it too.

1. Monty Python and the holy grail- 5/5

If we are talking of crazy and wacky films, it would be an insult to not include it. This film must be one of the strangest yet funniest films ever. The plot follows King Arthur on his quest (sent by God) to find and retrieve the Holy Grail. There are many barriers blocking their paths, such as The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog, the Black knight (with one of the most famous quotes “Tis’ but a scratch”), and The Knights who say Ni. With such an iconic cast (Eric Idle, Terry Jones, John Cleese, and more) this film could not be much further from serious.

If you want to laugh at something ridiculously funny watch this. Despite its age, it still stands as my personal funniest of all-time film.
