Out of the many clubs, societies and unions that DGGS has to offer, by far the most creative and engaging clubs around the school is the staff run poetry club. This year marks the ten-year anniversary of this club running in DGGS and The club celebrated by creating haikus and poems across the past few weeks. I spoke to a member of the club who often attended. "Usually its a casual session where we make poems and discuss them together," she said, "Its not under classroom conditions so it is a lot easier to gather ideas with everyone." She also stated that the club was going to create a termly compilation with different themes each term. "This will help us organise themes and ideas for poetry, which could also help us for english exams in the future" she added.
