Pantomimes are places of fun, family and magic, and every year, the Churchill Theatre in Bromley puts on a Christmas pantomime that is perfect for all the family to watch. This year, the pantomime was a rendition of the classic, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. The actors took the storyline of the original and changed it to make it fun for children. One way they did this was by having a character that was Snow White’s nurse’s son who also loved Snow White and was trying to make her fall in love with him.

As well as this, the production was incredible. They used smoke, fire and lighting to create desired effects and changes of mood and atmosphere, which made the production look extremely realistic. In my family it is a tradition to go to the pantomime every year around Christmas time and has been for the last 10 years. The pantomime runs approximately 2 hours with a 20-minute interval in between so it does not get boring and does not become long-winded.

My sister, who was watching the pantomime as well, said that, ‘It was a magical experience and was also very funny’. I highly recommend going to see the pantomime at one point, especially around Christmas time as it is a great thing to do with all the family and a great way to do something fun around Christmas time.
