Have you ever wondered what it’s like to own a cat? Well as a cat owner let me tell you owning a cat is not a simple endeavour as dog owners like to think!
Firstly, a cat owner will be sure to be up at 4am precisely for their cat’s early morning breakfast because otherwise you will be kept awake by their cat’s persistent meows of anger!
Secondly, a cat owner will ensure that after feeding the demanding pet they will now set aside 10 minutes of their time to stroking them because otherwise you will be tripped by them wrapping around your legs as you walk.
Afterwards, once the cat has had their 3rd wash of the day, they will finally fall into a deep slumber… Which they will not wake up for several hours (when they are hungry again)
Upon waking up, your cat will once again pester you for food until you feed them but just to make their game more fun, they will most likely only eat a little as if they were never hungry. Instead, my cat will indulge herself in meowing at the birds through double-glazed glass.
Now that the cat has awakened, cat owners are aware this is a very rare time for their nocturnal creatures who sleep for 12 hours so as a cat owner you are expected to offer the lap and if the cat sits on the lap, you must never move.
Finally, after the cat has had its nap on your lap, you will end up giving in to feeding them a 3rd time before you are allowed your well-deserved sleep- one which you must take as early as possible to ensure you are awake for the 4am feeding time!
