This year on 20-21st April, TCS was once again the proud sponsor of the London marathon (42.2km) as well as the junior London marathon (2.6km). Over millions of runners signed up, raising around £67 million for charities. As well as the main marathon being considered one of the world’s most awaited and hyped events, the mini run was truly a remarkable idea. This encourages not only physical activity for youngsters in an engaging approach, but also introduces a new hobby for them to take part in, which if taken seriously could possibly lead to the participation in the 26-mile run. TCS is not just the prime sponsor for the London marathon, but also funds popular running events across the world such as: the Toronto waterfront marathon, Amsterdam marathon and they NYC marathon. Other than the charitable funding TCS offers, they ensure to build relationships with each individual participant in a unique manner. Interestingly, the main and junior marathons were not the only events that took place. Other unique events include the Vitality London, a 10k course following some of London’s most incredible landmarks that can be run from any country (or even the comfort of your own home). The TCS community will continue to inspire more participants of different abilities with inclusive events in the future years.
