It’s a common experience among all fangirls to fantasise about being friends with the cast of your favourite TV show and ‘Pod Meets World’ is exactly that! A hilarious combination of behind-the-scenes stories, interviews with co-stars and crazy conversations about lettuce, merch and a deep, deep hatred for abbreviations.
‘Boy Meets World’ has been my favourite show for almost 3 years now and after my own extensive rewatches I didn’t think I could know any more about the 90s sitcom. I knew all the inside jokes, memorised every Mr Feeny message and noticed every continuity issue. So, nothing prepared me for the whirlwind of new information from three prominent members of the ‘Boy Meets World’ cast: Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong and Will Friedle, as they watch every episode of the iconic show, largely for the first time.
The cast discusses memories from each scene, moments from behind the camera and all the information a die-hard ‘Boy Meets World’ fan could wish for. In an amazing blend of comedy, confusion and the intricacies of child acting and all the fun and danger it entails.
Now, after spending a ridiculous amount of my time listening to the podcast I am completely well-versed in all the inside jokes, have memorised all of Will Friedle’s superstitions and found the answer to every question I have ever asked myself about the show. And as unlikely as it seems after 3 years of being an utterly unapologetic ‘Boy Meets World’ fan, I now consider myself to be a ‘Pod Meets World’ fan.
