SHOOTERS Hill were forced to field a depleted side at Old Gravesendians and went down to a 33-17 defeat.
Despite this, they threw everything into the game, with No 8 Dave Viney breaking from a scrum to score.
The first half finished with Old Gs leading 19-5 aftre the visitors’ strong back line ran in three tries.
Helped by a resurgent pack, Viney notched up his 10th try of the season after the restart as he reached over the line.
He was followed by Steve Shingfield, with Peter Dede kicking a conversion.
Shoots held onto fourth place with a hard game against second-placed Vigo away next week.
Former President and Kent offical Dennis Frampton watched the game while celebrating his 80th Birthday with his guests.
