WESTCOMBE Park are stuck firmly at the foot of the National League Two (S) after Saturday’s 50-10 trouncing at newcomers Hartpury College.
Hartpury scored three tries and a conversion in the first quarter before Ben Hough got Combe on the board with a penalty.
The hosts consolidated their dominance with two tries and the conversions produced a lead of 31-3 at half-time.
Hartpury added a further try immediately after the break but Kieran Leeper then scored Combe's only try, converted by Hough.
With the score at 36-10, Hartpury added their seventh try and a conversion almost immediately afterwards.
The sides were barely into the last quarter when the home side’s eighth try arrived and the conversion was the last score of the game.
Hartpury sit proudly near the the top of the table, while Combe are stuck firmly at the bottom.
But much more worrying is how their defence has failed to contain the opposition in their last two matches.
