GRAVESEND Rowing Club entered four races in the Herne Bay Viking Shield Regatta on Saturday.
The club took their only coastal four to the event and were kindly lent another four by Herne Bay to enable the ladies’ and men’s veterans crews to row off in the O40s race.
Gravesend also entered men’s and ladies’ novice crews in the event.
The ladies’ won their final and were each presented with a winner’s medal, while the men got through their heat and finished seventh in the final.
Gravesend intend to enter several coastal events and hope to purchase a second coastal four to enable them to take part in more races in the future.
If you are interested in joining the club, call captain Stephen Cason on 01474 352636.
