DartforDians, who are second from bottom of London Two, caused the upset of the season when they travelled to the league leaders Portsmouth last weekend and came back from 17-0 down to win.

Trailing 12-0 at half-time and conceding a try immediately on the resumption, Darts regrouped and led by man-of-the-match Tim O'Donnell, gradually took control of the game.

It was the hefty No.8 who opened the visitors' account when he drove over from close range after switching from the blind-side to the open-side from the base of a scrum, and skipper Mark Hutchinson successfully added the conversion.

Having an outstanding game, fly-half Steve O'Brien then waltzed past four opponents to score, with Hutchinson adding another two points, and then he equalised the scores at 17-17 with a fine drop goal.

With the seconds ticking away Hutchinson attempted a penalty from the halfway line and although his effort fell short, the Pompey full-back decided to run the ball out of defence instead of kicking into touch to finish the game.

He was caught by a swarm of Darts forwards and having failed to release the ball, he conceded a penalty in front of his own posts from which Hutchinson successfully kicked with the last play of the match.

This Saturday Darts are away to bottom team Camberley.

Running rugby from both sides produced a highly entertaining game producing nine tries as Bexley beat a New Ash Green team lying second in the league.

The main difference between these two very evenly-matched teams was the clinical finishing from the Bexley back-line and the precision of Vernon with the boot, missing only one attempt at goal and finishing with a personal tally of 22 points including a try.

Bexley's other tries came from Visser, two from Murray, and Norman, and they also welcomed back Jim Robinson from long-term injury.

Next Saturday, Bexley travel to Medway.

Erith's away game was called off against Old Olavians due to a waterlogged pitch.
