ISTEAD & Ifield Harrier Jeannette Giles finished as the first over-70 lady at the Derwentwater 10-mile race on Sunday for the second consecutive year.
The main problem was not the run but the rain, which according to locals the worst there had ever been for the race.
More members of the club were in action the previous weekend.
Another round of the Kent cross country league took place at Somerhill School on Saturday between Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells.
The course had two laps for the ladies and four for the men on the side of a hill.

Ladies 5km - 35th Lynne Champion 25m56s; 44th Jackie King 27m41s; 45th Sally Whitelaw 27m46s; 70th Claire Ward 26m31s.
Men 10km - 56thAndy Archer 41m33s; 61st Derek George 42m26s; 69th Mark Champion 43m12s; 137th Ian Morrison 53m39s; 147th Bob Carter 61m22s.
The Great South Run took place the following day in Portsmouth.
There were far too many runners for the conditions, which slowed the race down a bit.
However, Emma Penfold did well to time 1hr29m and finish 4,218th, while husband Jon timed 1hr41m and Barbara Webling 1hr49m.
The weather was bound to be bad as it was the day of the Wilmington 10k, noted for the strong headwind for half the race.
A full set of results are not yet available apart from the first 150 finishers.
Simon Parrin placed 20th in 39m18s, ahead of Alan Cowan (72nd) 43m14s, Steve Cason (91st) 44m34s and John Gillis (140th) 46m40s.
