A MOTOR racing enthusiast from Orpington is preparing for a new challenge after stepping up from karting to racing cars.
Stuart Bates is considering contesting in the Golf GTI MK2 championship in the 750 motor club or in MGZR 160 in the MG Trophy championship to achieve his ultimate ambition this year.
Bates, who is studying for an advanced apprenticeship in sport excellence at Loughborough, believes his dream will only come true if he attracts enough sponsorship and is appealing to companies for support.
