WHITE Oak Swimming Club have been crowned as the national league southern champions after a dramatic final meeting of the season.
The Swanley-based club went into the last-day decider in third place behind Dartford and Beckenham, but eventually emerged with the title after finishing half a point ahead of Beckenham.
Head coach Dean Williams said: “I am so proud of all of the team. They have all performed far above expectations, with many of them performing personal bests for their event.
“The lead changed hands many time through out the gala and only after the last event did we know White Oak had won.
“This has certainly made my year as head coach. It’s good to see all your hard work come to such a great climax and it is a fantastic achievement for our club.”
