Julie Dunkley won the shot putt at the Norwich Union Great Britain versus Spain Under 23-international at Liverpool, on Saturday.
The Dartford-based athlete threw 15.88m to beat Spain's agnolia Iglesias by 30 centimetres.
The win marks a confidence-boosting return to form for Dunkley, who suffered a foot injury in February. She said: “It felt good and I can now think about the European under 23 champ-ionships.
“There will be a few girls throwing above 16 and 17 metres there, but I'm just pleased to be getting back to form after my injury.”
