With just one game to go in the South London & Kent Pool Alliance first division the top three have all been decided, with Sharks ending up champions, Crayford Social Club Rugrats coming second and Rose Inn occupy the play-off promotion spot.

Sharks have led virtually from start to finish, going the whole season unbeaten, that's eleven games so far.

This week they played second bottom, CSC Mr's & Miss Q's, who did themselves no favours by only turning up with three Mr's and the one Miss, leaving them a player short.

Against the league leaders the one player difference proved too much of a mountain to climb, as Sharks won the first and third sets, 4-1 but CSC did provide a shock in the second, taking it, 3-2 to make the overall score, 10-5 in Sharks favour.

CSC took on the challenge well, with all of their players winning at least a frame and Ross Webster being successful in two of his three.

The only unbeaten players for Sharks were, Jeff Laporte, winning two frames but Danny Kent went one better with a hat-trick.

CSC can still escape relegation, as they are six points behind the relegation play-off spot and nine away from safety, so it will be tough.

Sharks are eighteen points ahead of Crayford Social Club Rugrats, so have won the title but Rugrats secured second this week with a, 9-6 triumph over Eltham Terrace Rack Pack.

It was a good night for the committee members in this match, as both Rack Pack's Tony Frost and Scott Shephard for Rugrats won all three of their frames.

Rose Inn secured their promotion play-off place in style, racing to an, 8-0 lead against the bottom team, Bellegrove A but Bellegrove won four of the next seven frames to make the score a slightly more respectable, 11-4.

Dean Taylor and Dean Greaney-Parr won all three of their frames for Rose and Captain Neil Mundy was also unbeaten, winning his only frame.

Unfortunately this loss leaves Bellegrove 25 points away from safety at the bottom, so they will be relegated and if they don't win next week it will be without recording a victory all season.

Replacing them will be their sister side Bellegrove Flyers, who currently top SLKPA Division Two and are 43 points ahead of fourth, so they have definitely won promotion, we just have to wait and see if they will be going up as champions.

Flyers were ruthless against Academicals, punishing every missed ball in their crushing, 13-2 triumph, which didn't reflect how well the Academicals played.

There is now a 21 point gap between Flyers and New Eltham Club, who suffered a defeat this week to their nearest rivals, North Heath Social Club.

It was a narrow, 8-7 triumph for North Heath, which has reduced the gap between the two to eleven points with two matches to go.

Foots Cray Social Club were victorious in the basement battle with Happy Hustlers, running out, 12-3 winners to open up a 25 point gap between the two.

It looks like Happy Hustlers will be condemned to the wooden spoon but as the name suggests they have played the whole season with a smile on their faces and long may they continue to do so.

The SLKPA Premier Division still have six games to go but just like their sister team from the first division, Bellegrove A, Bellegrove Social Club are also sitting at the bottom of the division without a win.

This week Eltham Terrace Club A were the victors by, 11 frames to 4, pushing them up to fourth in the table.

Mark Eldridge and Ben McIntosh scored three frame wins each and they were supported by Dan Foley, who won both his frames, which included a break and dish in the third set.

Bellegrove are now eight points behind Hustlers B, who this week suffered a defeat to Eltham Terrace Nuthouse.

Nuthouse took a, 2-1 lead, then won the next four frames to go, 6-1 up but Hustlers battled back taking the following three to peg it back to, 6-4 at the end of the second set.

The first two frames of the final set went to Nuthouse, giving them the victory but Hustlers secured another frame before Nuthouse won the last two for the, 10-5 triumph.

Both Zoe Healy and Jon Syta were good for their unbeaten braces but arguably man of the match was Louis Wilbourne, who won two of his three frames, including an excellent break and dish in the fifth frame and a brilliant clearance in frame fourteen.

Nuthouse are now in sixth, sandwiched by Hustlers A and Hustlers Simply Lovleh, who played each other this week.

Hustlers A made up for last week's disaster by beating their rivals by, 11 frames to 4, putting just four points between the three teams.

Only two points behind Simply Lovleh and sitting in the relegation play-off spot are Pickwick, after they were beaten by second placed Hotshots.

All credit must go to Pickwick, who didn't give up after going, 8-2 down, fighting back in the final set to win it, 3-2 and reduce the deficit to, 10-5.

Steve Krishnan was the only unbeaten player, winning all three of his frames for Hotshots.

This win reduces the gap between Hotshots and Eltham Terrace Rovers at the top to four points, as they had a tough battle with third placed Bellegrove this week.

Bellegrove felt it was a game of missed chances for them as frames slipped by but Barry Barham proved more elusive, winning a frame in each set, which included a fine cut on the black in set two and a lovely clearance for his hat-trick, finishing with a long red and the black cushion first.

This made the score, 7-6 in Rovers favour, then an unfortunate foul by Paul Elford with his hand gifted Rovers the victory and they went onto win the last frame for an overall, 9-6 triumph.

Joining Barham on three frame wins were Rovers' Ryan Francis and Chris Hobbis.

The gap between these two is now 13 points but with six games to go there Is still time to catch Hotshots and Rovers.
