This week marked the start of the second half of the South London & Kent Pool Alliance Premier Division season and it's derby day take two, as every match involves teams from the same venue.

The biggest shock came at Hustlers where, fourth placed Hustlers Simply Lovleh played Pickwick in eighth.

The form book was ripped up as Simply Lovleh were two players short but Pickwick played extremely well, winning seven of the nine frames played to give them the, 13-2 triumph.

Simply Lovleh drop to sixth and are only two points ahead of Pickwick, who also close the gap on Eltham Terrace Nuthouse to just one point, after they lost to table toppers, Hotshots.

At the beginning of the season Nuthouse sprung a surprise on Hotshots, beating them, 8-7 so Hotshots were looking for revenge and they got just that, with an, 11-4 triumph.

It looked like another shock was on the cards, as Nuthouse took a, 3-0 lead but Hotshots won the next eight in a row to take the match and they went on to win three of the last four to complete the comprehensive victory.

Connor Hewson won both of his frames for Hotshots but team mate Steve Krishnan went one better, with a hat-trick.

This result increased Hotshots lead at the top of the table to five points over Eltham Terrace Rovers, as they could only manage an, 8-7 victory over Eltham Terrace Club A.

There were no unbeaten players for the Rovers, however Dean Rider produced a break and dish in the final set, on the other hand Ben McIntosh won all three of his frames for Terrace.

Terrace hold onto fifth place but Hustlers A leapfrog them by one point, after they beat second from bottom Hustlers B by, 11 frames to 4.

Three points ahead of Hustlers A are Bellegrove in third, after they beat Bellegrove Social Club.

Bellegrove were looking for a big victory over winless Bellegrove Social Club and they were heading that way when they went, 4-0 up and went on to lead, 7-2.

However Bellegrove Social Club battled back to, 7-5 but Bellegrove were too strong eventually running out, 9-6 winners.

Playing the strongest for Bellegrove were Peter Whyte, with an unbeaten brace and Barry Barham, with three out of three frame wins.

This division is still looking a close run affair, with teams swapping places every week but small gaps are appearing, as nine points separate the top three and there are seven points between fourth and eighth.

With Sharks sixteen points clear at the top of SLKPA Division One, it was a chance for the chasing pack to play catch up, as they had a free week.

Leading the chase are Crayford Social Club Rugrats and they had their own derby day to deal with, playing CSC Mr's & Miss Q's.

CSC got out of the blocks quicker, winning the first three frames but Rugrats finished the set stronger, taking the last two frames to cut the deficit to, 3-2.

Rugrats tied the match with the first frame of the second set but CSC opened up a two frame advantage with frames seven and eight, however Rugrats weren't lying down, taking the last two frames of the set to make it all square again, at five all.

They went on to take the first four frames of the final set, making it six frames in a row, before CSC won the last frame to make the score, 9-6 in Rugrats favour.

Rugrats Captain, Scott Shephard led from the front, winning all three of his frames and he was supported by Mark Knevett, scoring two out of two.

The gap between Rugrats and Sharks is now seven points but Rose Inn have lost ground, after they suffered a shock defeat to Fox & Hounds.

Rose didn't do themselves any favours by only having four players but Fox were ruthless, having the match won by the end of the second set, after winning the first two, 4-1 and they went on to take the final set, 3-2 for an overall, 11-4 triumph.

It was a wonderful all round team performance, with Neil Shelton, Clive Forrest, Tom Wyatt and Alan Dolan all unbeaten on two frame wins.

Eltham Terrace Rack Pack close the gap on Rose, after they beat bottom team Bellegrove A, leaving them winless.

Tom Ingham and Graham Levingbird were the inspiration behind the, 10-5 triumph, both scoring unbeaten hat-tricks.

Top played bottom in SLKPA Division Two, as Bellegrove Flyers played hosts to Happy Hustlers and Flyers are now one point away from 100, after their 10-5 victory this week.

Just nine points behind them are New Eltham Social Club, after they beat Academicals by, 11 frames to 4.

The match was much closer than the score suggests, it's just that New Eltham were more clinical but not as clinical as Tony Bailey, who broke and dished for Academicals.

North Heath Social Club jump over Academicals into fourth but only by two points, as they beat Foots Cray Social Club, 8-7.
