Luke Hills says he is the fittest he has ever been as he prepares for the biggest fight of his life this Saturday night.
The 25-year-old, who trains at the TUA Boxing Gym in Bexley Village, will compete for his first Queensbury Boxing title when he meets Rainham's Brett Menzies for the Regional Cruiserweight belt.
Crayford’s Hills originally expected to box in September but says the delay will only benefit him.
“By the time the bell rings I’ll have been training for nearly ten weeks, so I’ll be fully prepared to go the distance,” said Hills.
“For my last few fights I’ve been doing a lot of weight-training to build up my strength, but for this one I've been focusing on core fitness work which has been incredibly hard.”
Hills, who has made an unbeaten start to his Queensbury career, added: “In the build up to this fight I’ve been getting some great sparring in which has really helped me prepare.
“I'm happy to win on points – if the knockout comes, it comes, but however it happens I’m confident it will be my night and I’m not letting down my army of friends who are coming to support me.”
