GOLF: Dartford golfer Michael Saunders stormed to a double victory last weekend.

On Saturday England international Saunders to a nine under par over the first thirteen holes to then go on to finish his first round with a six under par 64, creating a new course record at Knole Park GC in the Kent Cob.

He went on to win the tournament from Liam Burns (Sundridge Park GC), who just beat Dan Brown (Chart Hills GC) into third by one shot.

Saunders again showed his class the following day by winning the Bishops Bowl again from Burns, with George Mullins (Langley Park GC) placing third.

The Dartford GC member was also awarded the Roberts Salver Trophy for triumphing in both events.

CRICKET: Cudham Wyse Cricket Club’s U15s made it third time lucky by winning the league after finishing runners-up for the past two years.

They now join the U11s, who won their division last year, and the U13s from two years ago in securing silverware for the club.

Although Cudham Wyse cricket club are celebrating their 50th season, the Colts section has been running league sides for just six years, making their progress even more remarkable.
