IT was a busy weekend for the Bexley District U13 girl cricketers.
On Friday they took on a strong Greenwich junior cricket academy team in the first ever North Kent girls’ indoor league and suffered a hefty 72-run defeat.
Bexley scored 273 and the visitors 345.
The following day Bexley (241) hosted Dulwich CC U13s (280) in a friendly fixture and again were beaten, this time by 39 runs.
Dulwich have already asked to come back to play another fixture in December.
These matches are organised to help players prepare for the London Youth Games indoor cricket competition and various other girls indoor competitions around the county over the coming months.
