BECKENHAM produced a stunning comeback at Lordswood on Saturday.

Two goals down after just 30 minutes, Becks needed to turn on their attacking power against one of the Kent League's poorer defences at Martyn Grove. B They were back on level terms just before half-time through a Jake Hobbs penalty and an Elstrom Die strike.

Lordswoodhad to replace keeper Matt Byott, who was injured in a first half clash attempting to deny Die's first half equaliser.

Hobbs added his second, again from a penalty, in the 74th minute - his 13th successful strike from the penalty spot this season.

Strike partner Alfie Nunn completed a comfortable victory by adding a fourth in the last minute.

Manager Jason Huntley said: “Even when we were 2-0 down, I never thought this was a game we were going to lose.

“Our fourth goal was our 75th of the season, not a bad strike rate in just 29 games.”

Becks travel to Kent Invicta League side Holland & Blair in the quarter final of the Umbro Kent Senior Trophy on Saturday and host VCD Athletic in the first leg of the Kent League Cup on Tuesday at 7.30pm.
