BECKENHAM Town gave old rivals Fisher an uncomfortable start to 2012 with a convincing victory at Champion Hill on Monday.

Although Fisher started brightly and spurned an early chance in the opening minutes, this was a game dominated by Becks.

Taking advantage of some sloppy defensive errors, Becks went ahead on the half hour through a classy chip from Nick Curren over the keeper's head after good work from Becks' midfield duo of Harry Draper and Alfie Nunn.

Nunn nipped in behind the hesitant home defence 10 minutes later to add a second before Curren weighed in with the decisive third before the break.

Fisher started the second period in much the same upbeat fashion as they had the first, but never really caused Becks keeper Nick Blue any problems.

Leading marksman Jake Hobbs added Becks’ fourth and final goal from a free-kick on the hour to move his side up into fourth place.

Beckenham travel to Lordswood on Saturday, kick-off 3pm.
