FLEETDOWN United B are the 2010 President’s Cup winners after a 2-1 final success over Culverstone United.

They rushed into a 2-0 lead inside half an hour thanks to Andy Hunter and Karl McMullen in a game well officiated by referee Chris Howarth.

Bank Holiday Monday saw the last final of the season contested between Ash Green and Real Man of Kent in the Everden Hospital Cup.

Ash Green got off to the perfect start when Paul Bradbury headed them in front, but Real Man of Kent equalised in the 10th minute with a superb 25 yard strike from James Luchford.

They were in front five minutes later when Craig Nightingale scored with a header, but Luke Vigurs got Ash Green level just before the break.

Within five minutes of the restart a cross from the right was converted by Lee Brown to give Kent a 3-2 lead and with the strong wind behind them, Ash Green then laid siege on the Real Man of Kent goal.

However, keeper Steven Bage was in superb form and the defence, well-marshalled by Gavin Wonnacott, were holding firm.

It looked that despite their pressure, Ash Green were not going to get an equaliser, but as the clock ticked away a left wing corner was converted by Bradbury to take the game into extra-time.

The final was settled in the ninth minute of the extra period when Vigurs notched his second of the game with a firm strike.

Both teams had chances to add to their score but it was Ash Green who took the trophy in a fine sporting encounter.

Hospital Cup secretary Peter Price presented the trophy to the Ash Green skipper to the joy of the ecstatic supporters. Champions elect for this season in the Premier Division are Lullingstone Castle after they reached 50 points when they 2-2 with Stone C & I.

Stone took the lead when Brent Howard, back from injury, scored in the first half.

They held the advantage until after the interval when the Lullies got level with a Michael Shipp goal.

The Lullies gave away a penalty, from which Luke Taylor scored, but with 10 minutes remaining they rescued a point with an Adam Knapp goal.

Craggs Farm overwhelmed Meopham 10-2, racing into a 4-0 with a fine hat-trick from Adam Fulling and a fourth from James Manning.

Bean had a home double fixture with the NK Aces Reserves knowing they needed to win all their remaining games to get among the medals.

In the second game, Bean went into a 3-0 lead with goals through Aaron Tuitt, Craig Deamer and Jack Barry.

Division Two champions AZ 82 have completed their quota of games for the season but the runners-up spot was up for grabs when Ash Green entertained the Kent Celts at the New Ash Green ground.

In a fine game, Celts opened the scoring when Tim Edwins scored.

It looked good to take second place as it took Ash Green 80 minutes to get back in the game when they equalised with a penalty from Luke Vigurs.

But Ash Green scored the winning goal late on with a fine strike by Paul Bradbury to take the runners-up place.
