FORMER Gravesend and Northfleet star Bruce Sewell has been diagnosed with motor neurone disease.
Bruce joined Fleet in 1998 and was skipper until he left in December 2000.
The club is looking to help and support Bruce and anyone wishing to do the same can visit road2hope.com Bruce, 36, and his wife Annabel married in June 2002 and a year later their son, Noah, was born.
After hanging up his boots he worked as the first team sports therapist for Luton Town.
