As I write these notes, we are still recovering from our defeat at York.
This was a game in which, based on our second half performance, I feel we should have come away from with a point.
Our performance against Hereford disappointed me. We went ahead, deservedly, against 10 men but it felt like we were embarrassed to go ahead.
We didn't come out of the dressing room in the second half.
On the injury front, it was great to see Jay Saunders make his comeback as a second-half substitute against York, after recovering from a back injury which had kept him out since Christmas.
Charlie MacDonald is well on the way back and hopefully he'll be pulling on the red shirt again really soon.
This Saturday's game is a "Kids for a Quid" game, as we face Tamworth at Stonebridge Road.
Hopefully this initiative will help to bolster the attendance which has, disappointingly, been falling over recent weeks.
The lads always make a point about how the positive atmosphere spurs them on.
The following week we travel to Graham Westley's Stevenage Borough, looking to avenge the 20 defeat we suffered early on in the season.
Please come along on Saturday and show your support for the lads. After all, the Fleet are your team.
