EBBSFLEET Ladies faced a tough Enfield side on Sunday and went down to another defeat.
Things looked bright early on when they opened the scoring through Pip Lawrence, who got on the end of Kelly Philpott’s cross.
But Enfield quickly drew level with a strike from close range before Philpott restored Ebbsfleet’s advantage with a hard shot across the face of goal which flew into the far corner.
Fleet gave away a penalty before the break, which was successfully converted, and Enfield grabbed the only goal of the second half to seal victory.
Ebbsfleet’s next fixture is on October 25 against Ipswich Town at Stonebridge Road.
