LULLINGSTONE Castle made progress into round two of the Kent Junior Cup Group A with a convincing home win over Tudor Sports Reserves.

The Lullies held a 1-0 lead at the break after Ryan Orpwood scored and added three more in the second half through Ben Everest (2) and Luke Pearson in a 4-0 triumph.

In the same group, Millers Cottage were beaten 7-0 at home by a very strong Erith 147 Sports side.

A fine Group B encounter saw Stone C&I go out narrowly in a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Johnson & Phillips Reserves.

But there was more luck for the Gravesend League representatives in Group C, where Culverstone came from behind to seal a dramatic 2-1 at west.

Trailing 1-0 at the break, Dave Morris equalised in the second half before an 89th minute winner from Steve Boyson sealed the tie.

There was also success for NK Aces Reserves at Beaverwood Reserves with Terry Woolen (2) and Nathan Taylor (2) doing the damage in a 4-1 victory.

YMCA Dartford (Sat) were having their very first game in the Kent Junior Cup at Bexlians Reserves, and the hosts were far too strong, posting 10 goals without reply.

Tom Eyers, Elijah Eastwood (pen), Tony Love Jnr, Rob Clerkson, Terry Rich and Tony Swann shared Craggs farm’s goals in a 6-2 Gordon Charity Cup first round win over Viewpoint Reserves.

Karl Hotchkiss (pen) and Mick Caveney jnr grabbed Viewpoint’s consolation goals, but it could have been much closer had Craggs keeper Wayne Fields not saved two penalties.

Viewpoint’s first team were the day’s top scorers with eighteen goals at home to Woodlands Athletic, who could only muster one solitary reply courtesy of Ben Arnold.

Damien Blowers led the way with eight goals, while Barry Simpson (2), Dave Goodwin (2), Sub’Marc Bruce (2), keeper Curtis Farrell (2), Toby Johnson and Aaron Brown completed the rout as Viewpoint went top in the Premier Division table.

Jamie Hoyle, Daniel Sharkey, Baldeep Thind and Bobby Singh ensured NK Aces claimed a comfortable 4-0 win at Meopham.

For the second week running, Earl Grey slipped down a place in the Division One table after a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Bean.

Bean held a 2-0 lead by the interval with both goals from Aaron Tuitt.

Earl Grey responded with a goal by Lewis Spencer after a fine flick on by Garry Aldous, but Bean held on to claim three points in their first win of the season.

Karl McMullen (2), Christian Cantone (2), Ashley Graham and Ricky Payne helped Fleetdown United B see off the Rising Eagles 6-3.

In Division Two, AZ 82 climbed up into first place following their 5-1 win against Fleetway Printers.

AZ led 2-0 at half-time with goals from Paul Hopper and George Gale.

Fleetway pulled a one back through James Bateman, but then three goals from Billy French, Hopper and Ranjit Bhachu put the outcome beyond doubt.

Kent Celts go second on goal difference following their 6-2 win at home against Joydens Wood.

Jason Bannister’s brace put Kent 2-1 up at the midway point with Ross Howe scoring for Wood.

But Niall McKenna’s hat-trick and a solo effort by Ben Clasper saw Kent Celts run away with it after the break, despite Dan Parrott making it 4-2 at one point.

Peter Bourne and a brilliant goal from Dan Law, who shot from just over the halfway line, gave Horton Kirby a 2-0 half-time advantage at Meopham Reserves.

Neil Doogias, Lewis Royale (2) and Steve Saxton added to the tally in the second half, but there was still time for Meopham Reserves secretary John Allwright to smash home a spectacular overhead bicycle kick.

Dan Torry grabbed his first goal in two years as Ash Green took an early 2-0 lead against Oakfield.

Scott Chapman hit the other before Oakfield were right back in it after Ashley Ling scored a fine goal from the edge of the area.

Chapman scored his second after the break, but Oakfield came back strongly to draw level through Steve Walborn and one in the 89th minute from Matt Salt.

With a draw seemingly on the cards, Ash Green scored with the last kick of the game through Ken Karapinae to win 4-3.
