ERITH & Belvedere have parted company with manager Mike Acland after seven-and-a half years in charge.
The long-serving manager and his coach Dave Hough resigned last week following a string of poor results, which saw them knocked out of every cup competition and winning only one Dr Marten Eastern League game this season.
Former Deres' player Mickey Cloke takes over as manager and Barry Fox as his assistant.
A spokesman for the club said: "We would like to thank Mike and Dave for all the hard work that they have put in over this period, and wish them all the best for the future."
Their former boss says he obviously disappointed with the way things have ended but felt it was time for a change.
"I actually thought this squad was the best I've ever had, but we were just not getting the results," said Acland "So I was left with little choice but to offer to resign.
"I'm not sure if I'll get back into football, but we'll have to wait and see what offers come along.
"There was a mention of going upstairs but in what capacity I'm not sure yet.
"I'll have to wait and see what they offer me, but I want a couple of weeks off before I decide.
"But I wish the two taking over, who were ex-players of mine, the best of luck."
The Deres face a tough test tonight (Wedneday) as they travel to Dartford's conquers last weekend, Sailsbury City.
