GRAVESEND League outfit Craggs Farm delivered a classy display to sink Kent County League team Greenways Reserves 4-0 in the quarter-final of the Mallinson Hospital Cup.

Rob Ingram opened the scoring and Aaron Frain doubled their advantage before the break.

Greenways’ keeper had a fine game, stopping several goal-bound shots, but he could do nothing about the third and fourth goals from Rob Clerkson and Tony Swann.

Top scorers in the competition were Woodlands Athletic, who demolished Peacock Celtic 8-1 at home.

Woodlands held a 3-0 lead at the break through Dan Ingram, Neil Marshall and Darren Gowler.

Ingram and Marshall doubled their scores, while Gowler added another two for his hat-trick and a 7-0 lead.

The goal of the game came from Celtic’s Paul Coulton with a 25-yard screamer into the top left hand corner, but Woodlands had the last say when Karl Daly completed the rout late on.

Premier Division side Old Prince of Orange were at home to First Division Bean and there was no score at the midway point, although Prince should have scored when Marc Bruce got in a diving header which struck the Bean crossbar.

Prince broke the deadlock in the 65th minute when Mark Laver scored and they added a second and final goal in the last minute when Bruce’s shot took a deflection off of a Bean defender to seal a 2-0 win.

The Premier Division game at Stone Rec’ between AFC Welsh Tavern (Sat) and Horton Kirby saw the away team take the lead through Tom Dunmall.

Having had a player sent off after just seven minutes, Welsh Tavern and had to play the rest of the game with only 10 men.

But they drew level thanks to Dan Thomas and then struck the Kirby crossbar three times in a game which finished all-square at 1-1.

Craggs Farm Reserves were at home to N.K. Aces at the AEI ground.

It was 0-0 at half time, although Aces had a ‘goal’ disallowed for offside.

Aces keeper Bobby Singh Kyla had a fine game, keeping out several good shots from Craggs.

Both sides had good chances to open their account, but in the second half Aces’ top scorer Paul Sandhu settled the match with a double strike to secure a 2-0 triumph.

In Division Two, leaders Earl Grey were at home to AZ 82 and Grey led 2-0 at the break thanks to a Garry Aldous header and Nathan Harpum.

The game was well refereed by Geoff Bains, but it wasEarl Grey who pulled clear in the second half as Aaron Spencer (3) and Sam Jacomb sealed a 6-0 win.

Fleetdowm United B eased to a 5-0 victory at FC Stone to remain level on points with Eral Grey thanks to Mike Christie (2), Bill Joel, Kevin Pocock and Karl McMullen.

Culverstone United are within striking distance of the leaders following their convincing 8-0 demolition of Meopham Reserves.

The game was switched to Kings Farm when the Culverstone ground was declared unfit, but the change of scenery didn’t seem to bother David Morris who scored six of his side’s goals with Luke Vint and Dan Redpath adding singles.

Oakfield and Real Man of Kent shared 10 goals in an entertaining encounter.

Real Man of Kent scored four of them in the first 40 minutes for a 4-0 lead, but Oakfield fought back to pull it back to 4-2 by the break thanks to Gary Lasham and Steve Warborn.

Kent added a fifth goal in the second half, but then came the brilliant fightback by Oakfield.

Paul Silk-Sleafer, back from injury after a long lay-off, scored a penalty, Scott Matthews got the fourth and then Paul Dando equalised five minutes from time to earn a share of the spoils.

It isn’t the first time these two sides have cancelled each other out in high-scoring games as they drew 4-4 earlier in the season.

AFC Welsh Tavern Reserves and Joydens Wood produced a fine game.

Tavern held a 1-0 lead at half-time thanks to James Hyde goal and Dave Collard kept his usual goal a game record to seal a 2-0 win.

The Presidents Cup Group D’ game between Viewpoint Reserves and Swan Valley yielded nine goals.

Swan led 4-2 at the interval and finally overcame Viewpoint 5-4.

Paul Jackson (2), Sean Harris and Alex Watson were on target for Viewpoint, while Swan’s goals came courtesy of Dave Grace (2), Chris Manktelow, Steve Juby and player-manager Darren Latimer.
